Where’s the tumbleweed when you need it?
Mark Lawrenson may not be everyone’s cup of tea as a commentator, but in fairness to him, he keeps attempting to come out with what he deems as witty remarks even if nobody else gets them.
He tried to make a joke when his co-commentator, Dave McIntyre, mentioned Real Madrid substitute Nacho, who ended up as the match-winner after scoring the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over PSG.
Fair play to Dave, he could have tried to fake a giggle or two, but instead he gave Lawrenson’s joke the extended silent treatment it deserved.
Maybe next time, Mark.
