Minutes remained at Goodison Park.
Manchester United, in desperate need of points, held a slender one goal lead over Everton and had limited the home side to only a couple of clear sights of goal.
As the seconds ticked away, Marouane Fellaini – making his 100 appearance for the club – was summoned from the United bench. He would be the man that would help Jose Mourinho’s side see out what was left of the match. Surely, a hard-fought three points was within their grasp.
But of course, it wasn’t to be.
Fellaini’s first contribution to the game was to clumsily stick out a leg, bringing Idrissa Gueye tumbling to the deck inside the United box. As clear a penalty as there ever could be. Up stepped Leighton Baines, in went the ball. 1-1.
Five minutes stoppage time remained, in which Fellaini chased the shadows of Everton players when without the ball and, on the few occasions he was in possession, played the same kind of overhit / inaccurate passes that he’s played throughout his United career.
Another two points dropped for United, and there was no doubt at whose cumbersome feet the blame lay at.

Neville uses the words 'rubbish, garbage and pathetic' to describe Fellaini. Hard to argue on the back of his offering today

Honestly, where is Fellaini getting all his managers nudes??

I tell you who would have done a better job at closing out that game than Fellaini: Bastian Schweinsteiger.

I've got nothing against Fellaini personally. He's simply not good enough. It's baffling how 3 separate managers have picked him regularly.

When Fellaini was warming up, I was like "here we go." and indeed, there we went.

Marouane Fellaini, for me, is the worst Manchester United signing of all time. Certainly in my time as a football fan. Embarrassingly awful.
