Management duo Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane have parted company with the FAI after a poor run of results.

The decision came after a meeting last night in the UK between the association chief executive John Delaney and manager O’Neill.

O’Neill has spent the last five years in charge of the Republic of Ireland along with his assistant manager Roy Keane, but the pair have overseen one of the worst periods in Irish football.

Ireland failed to win a single game in their UEFA Nations League group, suffering relegation to League C in the competition’s inaugural campaign.
