With Louis van Gaal yet to silence his doubters, Manchester United are thought to be still considering their options.
And two new men have risen to the top of the club’s wanted list – Mauricio Pochettino and Laurent Blanc.
PSG boss Blanc has Old Trafford connections already, having turned out more than 50 times for the club at the end of his playing career.
Pochettino, meanwhile, is thought to have impressed United’s decision-makers with his progress at Tottenham this season.
The Sunday Mirror claim United face a race against time to secure Blanc’s services, with the French champions keen to extend his stay in Paris.
But it certainly seems the club is preparing to potentially part ways with Van Gaal in the summer, a full year before his contract expires.
