This kid is living his best life
We all want to make a bit of extra cash in our youth. There was definitely a kid in everyone’s school year who bought cans of fizzy drinks and sold them on for a profit. When you’re too young to earn a proper wage, this sort of innovation can be very lucrative.
But a 17-year-old named Sam, also known as the ‘Garms Dealer’, has taken this entrepreneurial skill to a whole different level. He has built a business from the ground up, acquiring and selling rare designer clothes to elite level footballers.
Speaking to the BBC, he explained that after making contact with Arsenal youth player Cohen Bramall, his customer base grew and grew as word spread. Suddenly he was bringing Gucci gear to Hotspur Way for Heung-min Son.
“When I was 12 or 13, I’d come home every day with maybe £3 or £4,” Sam told the BBC.
“It’s the same now really just on a much, much bigger scale,” he explained, before being interrupted by a WhatsApp message from Kyle Walker.
Through his business with Son, he started to sell items to Dele Alli, who introduced him to various other England players. This customer base has grown exponentially and Sam now sells to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Paul Pogba, Benjamin Mendy and Alexandre Lacazette.
“It just snowballs from one player, to another player, to another player. As long as you’re providing a good service, that’s it, you’re set.”
