Sometimes, as a football manager, it’s impossible to put a positive spin on a result.
That is the position in which Karl Robinson found himself after his MK Dons team suffered a 5-1 hammering at home to Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Oscar scored a first-half hat-trick for the visitors, who racked up 24 shots over the course of 90 minutes at Stadium:MK.
After being asked what he’d learned, Robinson could have given the usual PR-friendly answer, but thankfully he knew better than to do that.
Question to Karl Robinson: "Have you learned anything from this game?" Answer: "Yes, don't win the third round…"
