It wasn’t quite the fairytale end to Mo Farah’s track career that many in the London Stadium had hoped for.
A week on from winning World Championship gold in the 10,000m, the 34-year-old was beaten into second place by Ethiopia’s Muktar Edris in the final of the 5,000m.
The bronze medal went to Paul Chelimo of the USA, a man that had angered some watching on television with what they perceived as being a ‘disrespectful’ gesture before the race had started.
Is this behaviour acceptable or am I overreacting @BBCSport #mofarah pic.twitter.com/xVnoNIYtTz
