Well, this is just lovely from Mohamed Salah
Sometimes it’s easy to forget just how much football means to fans. We all love the sport, but we spend a lot of time criticising it and those involved in it, whether it be players, managers or executives.
This level of negativity which regularly surrounds football can often cloud our view of just how important it can be, and a recent interaction between Mohamed Salah and a Liverpool supporter has shown this.
The supporter in question was Lewis Dunlop, who was attending the Reds’ game against Southampton alongside his father Wayne.
After the match, Lewis can be seen holding a sign up asking Salah for his jersey, at which point the Egyptian striker walks over and hands him his shirt.
After receiving the jersey, Lewis can be seen with tears of joy in his eyes, as the forward goes towards the tunnel.
In a tweet posted after the match, his father thanked Salah for his generous act.
“I cannot thank you enough Mo.. Brought my lad to tears (and me)…. These are moments in life that hold more value than I can explain.. A day my son Lewis will never forget,” he said.
