The relocation is subject to FIFA’s approval
Ligue 1 sides Monaco and Lyon have reportedly agreed to play their remaining league match against each other in China.
According to L’Equipe, the Professional Football League (LFP) have submitted the idea of playing the Monaco-Lyon match, scheduled for early February, in China.
In August 2018, the Trophée des Champions was held in Shenzhen, China – with Paris Saint-Germain defeating Monaco 4-0.
Now, two years later, the LFP are seemingly keen to return to china, as they look to organise the fixture between the two French giants which is scheduled for the weekend of February 4 to 6.
Game 39 comes to France: Monaco and Lyon looking to play a competitive league fixture in Shanghai in February.
