Mourinho has a sly dig and Wenger and the FA following Dynamo Kiev draw…

JOE

Jose Mourinho has courted controversy yet again with his comments about the referee following Chelsea’s 0-0 draw with Dynamo Kiev.

“The referee was weak and naive,” Mourinho told BT Sport. “(He missed) a big penalty.”

Mourinho pointedly chose the words Arsene Wenger used to describe Mike Dean following Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Arsenal in September.

Wenger escaped punishment by the FA, who also overturned the red card awarded to Gunners defender Gabriel and handed Diego Costa a three-match ban for a scuffle with Laurent Koscielny.

Mourinho complained about the perceived injustice following his fine for comments about ref Bobby Madeley after Chelsea’s defeat to Southampton two weeks ago, and chose to reignite the issue on Tuesday.

After his “weak and naive” jibe, Mourinho continued to criticise the referee, but admitted his satisfaction at Chelsea’s performance.

“I keep not understanding, what the goal referee does. Because (he) doesn’t make a clear decision. When the result is zero-zero and such a penalty is not given it’s a crucial moment of the game,” he said.

“We hit the post twice, we had a great occasion by Matic, (we had a) solid defensive performance against a dangerous team. To lose this game would have been really bad for us.

“(It was) a good solid performance, second clean sheet, everybody fighting for each other.”
