Sampdoria face Juventus in Turin on Saturday
We could be wrong here, but something tells us Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero isn’t all that hopeful that his team will spring any surprises when they face Juventus this weekend.
The Blucerchiati are currently fifth in Serie A, but their hosts on Saturday are already looking well placed to win another Italian title. With 18 matches played this season, Juve will begin the game – their last before the winter break – nine points clear of Napoli in second position and yet to taste defeat in a domestic game.
This considered, Ferrero has promised that if Sampdoria do manage to take the three points in Turin, he’ll give himself a new hairdo to mark the occasion.
“I have long hair, I’ve always worn it like this,” Ferrero told Rai Radio Uno (via FootballItalia.net)
“But if we beat Juventus I’ll cut it all off, I’ll make it like Nainggolan.”
This, for those wondering, is how Ferrero currently has his hair…
Nainggolan, who moved from Roma to Inter Milan in the summer, has made headlines of his own this week. The midfielder was suspended by Inter, reportedly due to being late for training. Rumours continue to surface that the Belgian may yet seal a January return to Roma, with his WhatApp messages leaked in the Italian press appearing to confirm this is his intention.
