So there you have it.
We now know who Gareth Southgate’s England will face in the group stages of next summer’s World Cup. We’ve even dared to look as far as the knockout stages, and at who might end up sending them home.
With all this considered, it’s now high time we had a peek at what England’s players (might?) be wearing as they take to the field in Russia. Thankfully, another update from the fellas at Footy Headlines – a website which really knows its onions when it comes to leaked football kits – allows us to do precisely that.
Only last week, the same website brought us the image below, showing what they confidently state will be England’s next home shirt.
Having also confirmed that the Three Lions’ next away shirt will be red, their latest update comes in the form of a blurry image, showing both home and away kits in all their (pixelated, low resolution) glory.
Despite the image’s lack of quality, we can see enough to learn that – as we were told last week – the home kit will see a return to navy shorts and white socks, after the current strip saw England’s players wear white shorts and red socks.
The away kit, which features a St George’s cross on the shirt, comes with white shorts and red socks.
The kits are expected to be launched in time for the next international break in March.
