The British boxing starlet looked set for a bright future
Newly graduated professional boxer Ali Tazeem has sadly died following a car crash near Birmingham over Easter weekend. He was just 18 years old.
Dubbed the ‘next Amir Khan‘, Tazeem’s death was confirmed by Sam Jones, Head Of Talent Relations at Probellum, who signed the youngster back in March, who said the two spoke only a day prior and believed he was going to “light up the pro game”.

As per BirminghamLive, Labour Councillor Majid Mahmood said: “I’m shocked and saddened that Ali Tazeem has left this temporary world. A young, very talented, humble and very well-liked boxer who turned professional this year and was destined to become a champion.”
The Wolverhampton-born boxer had already won 15 international gold medals, with 45 successes and accolades including the Monkstown Box Cup to his name.
In his final post just four days ago, you can see him doing a ring walk with Floyd Mayweather Snr, having spent a week with him at Walsall’s Pound 4 Pound Boxing Academy earlier this month.

Promoters like his recent representation Probellum are said to have taken notice of him early doors due to his lightning-quick reflexes and defensive capabilities.
As well as having trained with the elder Mayweather, Tazeem had met with the likes of fellow international medallist and once-rising British star, Amir Khan on multiple occasions, who said: “he will be the next me and make history”.
