Neymar could be Premier League bound as he reveals the manager he’d love to play for

Simon Lloyd

Although many believe that Neymar will remain at Barcelona for the majority of his career, rumours of a move to England continue to appear.

Manchester United were linked with a sensational swoop for the Brazilian last summer, and despite it seeming unlikely, the reports of him one day arriving at Old Trafford haven’t fully disappeared.

And now, it appears there’s even more reason to believe that Neymar may one day ply his trade in the Premier League.

Asked in an interview which manager he’d like to play for in the future, Neymar explained that he’d love to work with Pep Guardiola.

“Guardiola is a guy that I really admire and who I would love to work [with],” he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

Guardiola has confirmed that he intends to coach in the Premier League in the future and will leave his current post with Bayern Munich at the end of the current season.

Many expect him to become the manager of Manchester City, although United have once again been linked with him this week.

So – could it be that Neymar one day plays under Guardiola in the Premier League? Possibly.

For now though, it doesn’t seem he has any plans to leave Spain in the immediate future.

“It’s tough to say if I want to play in other countries,” he added. “Nobody knows tomorrow, but I’m very happy where I am right now, at Barcelona.

“I have the will to go back to Brazil some day and I also would like to play in USA. Those two countries are two where I want to play later on my career.”
