‘Stormin’ Norman Parke wants to be a part of the festivities around the historic UFC 200 event.
With three fight cards in a matter of three nights, the Bushmills lightweight wants to showcase his skills on international fight week.
The opponent? Parke has already decided on a bout against fellow veteran Nik Lentz.
Parke issued a definitive call-out of ‘The Carny’ on social media on Easter Monday, where he mockingly referred to the American as a “McGregor wannabe”.
Parke last fought a month ago, when he lost a unanimous decision to Rustam Khabilov in London. That defeat pushed Parke’s recent record to 1-4 so he will be absolutely desperate to get back in the win column.
Lentz, meanwhile, is coming off a victory over Danny Castillo and he had been in the discussion as a potential opponent for the returning BJ Penn.
Penn had repeatedly called ‘The Carny’ out, but to no avail.
Let’s see if Parke has better luck.
