Will Grigg is yet to kick a ball in Euro 2016, but that hasn’t stopped football fans from chanting his name.
In case you hadn’t heard, Will Grigg is on fire this year, after score 24 goals as part of Wigan’s promotion push to the Championship.
Everyone has been singing “Will Grigg’s on fire” chant as of late. He may be benched for Northern Ireland, but there’s no stopping Will Grigg fever. His chant has proven so popular that last weekend a few England fans nicked it to sing about Marcus Rashford.
The latest Will Grigg chant comes from a few fans in Belfast who take it just a bit too far….

In a video clip sent to “Will Grigg’s On Fire” social media accounts, it appears a few gentlemen phone up 999 to call the fire services.
When an operator asks “What’s on Fire?”, the boys respond “Will Grigg” and the chant starts all over again.
The clip has now been retweeted over 15,000 times on Twitter, and racked up 4.4m views on the Will Grigg’s On Fire Facebook Page.
Discussion has been heated (if you pardon the phrasing) in response to the video, with a number of people criticising the men behind the video for potentially wasting emergency service resources.
@ffsLeicester @WillGriggFire Wasting the emergency people’s time? Yep fucking hilarious

However a number of viewers have also pointed out the long dialling time and less than regular lines from the emergency operator as signs the phonecall may be fake.
@LukeRobboLFC78 Boss isn’t it? Granted it’s fake haha

Will Grigg didn’t feature in Northern Ireland’s historic 2-0 win over Ukraine on Thursday night, but with a game against Germany on Tuesday, and the boys in white and green still with a good chance to qualify from Group C, he just might pop up to stun Boateng and Hummels.
Not had enough Will Grigg? Check out our interview with Gala, the Italian singer-songwriter behind the original “Freed from Desire” song that Sean Kennedy so cleverly remixed.
