Lukaku’s joining United.
Despite a last minute rally by Chelsea to salvage their own deal for the free-scoring Belgian on Friday night, Romelu Lukaku is officially heading to Manchester United, in a sensational deal that no one really expected even a week ago.
United confirmed the news via their official Twitter feed when they told their followers: ‘MUFC is delighted to announce a fee has been agreed with Everton for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, subject to a medical & personal terms.’

The 24-year-old marksman is already in the States with his friend Paul Pogba, and is expected to join up with the rest of his Old Trafford colleagues when they fly out for their pre-season tour on Sunday.
Lukaku is also only the fourth player to score more than 80 goals in the Premier League before turning 24, alongside Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and Wayne Rooney. He has also scored more goals than any other Everton player in Premier League history (68).
