Tuesday marked the tenth anniversary of George Best’s passing.
The Manchester United legend – widely regarded as one of the best players that these shores have ever produced – died on November 25, 2005. He was 59 years old.
By way of a tribute, it was decided amongst the Old Trafford faithful that they would shine their mobile phone torches during the seventh minute of the side’s Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven.
And so, seven minutes into the game, they did just that. The stands were resplendent with shimmering dots of light. It was a wonderful spectacle and a fitting tribute to the one and only Georgie Best…
