It would appear that the Norwegian town of Kristiansund is very proud of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was appointed Manchester United manager on an interim basis there was generally a response of happiness from the club’s supporters.
The former striker, who scored one of the club’s most famous goals – the winner against Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final – has a special place in the heart of supporters, and is a welcome change from the toxicity of the man he replaced, Jose Mourinho.

There was also widespread pride from the people of Norway that one of their own had been named manager of one of the biggest clubs in world football, even if that club isn’t quite on the level it was when Solskjaer played with them.
His hometown of Kristiansund made their pride very obvious when they erected an enormous sign overlooking the town in honour of Solskjaer.
The sign – which says “20 LEGEND” – refers to Solskjaer’s shirt number during his time at Old Trafford, reportedly changes every week depending on what is occurring in the town and unsurprisingly, Solskjaer’s appointment is the biggest news right now.
We have what we call “the Hollywood sign” in Kristiansund (Solskjær’s) hometown, were they change the letters depending on what’s happening in the city that week. This is what it says now 😍 #20Legend pic.twitter.com/bEGIcqDgzb
