What’s better than one Kylian Mbappe?

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly aiming to bring a second Kylian Mbappe to the Parc des Princes in the hope that the second follows in the footsteps of the first.

PSG have made an approach to sign an 11-year-old with the same name as their current talisman, according to a report from French publication Le Parisien.

The younger Mbappe currently plays for local team Roissy-en-Brie, the side at which Paul Pogba spent several years between the age of six and 13, and his performances have earned him an offer from the biggest club in France.

“He will do what he wants and we will not push him at all costs to become a professional footballer,” the youngster’s father, Eric Mbappe, told Le Parisien. “If it is the case that he goes to PSG, who have approached us, we would, of course, become closer to the other Kylian.”

The Mbappes share some characteristics in that both are accomplished dribblers and both players’ fathers hail from Cameroon.

Eric Mbappe has laughed off suggestions that he named his son after the French World Cup winner, pointing out the obvious point that the elder Kylian Mbappe was only eight years old when the younger one was born.

The 11-year-old said: “Since the other one became big, I have got used to it. I don’t even pay attention to it even if it generally makes me feel good. I am a PSG fan, I would like to have the same career as him.”
