The boots are priced at £236
Paul Pogba wore the world’s first pair of vegan football boots earlier this week after teaming up with Stella McCartney to design the gender-neutral Adidas boots.
The Manchester United midfielder has held an interest in fashion for a number of years, and he has now played a role in creating history.
The World Cup winner collaborated with fashion designer McCartney during lockdown to create the Adidas ‘PREDATOR FREAK’, with the 28-year-old debuting the boots during United’s dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Atalanta in the Champions League earlier this week.
The former Juventus man came off the bench to help secure the second half turnaround which saw Cristiano Ronaldo score a spectacular winner late in the game.
The laceless boots are the latest design in Adidas’ iconic PREDATOR range, using vegan materials to create the white shoe with blue and green leopard spots and orange rubber spikes.
The boots are a limited edition design – made using recycled materials – and are priced at £236, with the laced version costing £211.

Pogba admits that he has always wanted to design a pair of football boots, and working with McCartney to do so was “special”.
He said: “I am a footballer first and foremost, but I have a huge interest in fashion and design and I’ve always wanted to explore this further.
“This collaboration has been particularly special for me because I’ve been a fan of Stella McCartney’s work for a long time, so when we came together and had this idea, it felt like the perfect opportunity to create something.
“It was in the middle of lockdown and I was missing playing football so much, so it was an incredible feeling to be able to focus on something that combines my love for the game with my passion for style.
“The boots we created with adidas are bold and unique, and I can’t wait to wear them when I step onto the pitch.”
McCartney, 50, suggested that the midfielder’s passion for fashion helped to create the chosen design.
McCartney added: “Last year during lockdown, adidas brought Paul and I together which is where this idea was first born.
“Hearing how passionate he was about fashion and learning how much we had in common really sparked the inspiration for co-creating this iconic boot.
“One comment that stuck with me was how fashion was part of his personality both on and off the pitch, so it was important for this to shine through in the design.”
Pogba is likely to wear the boots again when Manchester United host Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
