He was looking for a cup and then he won a cup, but heaven knows he’s miserable now.
Despite being omitted from the starting lineup, Pedro was Barcelona’s super-sub as they edged out a valiant Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup. The 28-year-old scored the ninth and decisive goal in a spectacular 5-4 win.

And yet in spite of his heroics, Pedro looked brim with melancholy whilst his teammates celebrated another trophy towards a historic second sextuple.
It should have been a glorious farewell; the perfect way to bow out. But the Catalan just looked incredibly sad.
Perhaps he was having second thoughts about leaving – or maybe he knew it was the end.
