When Pedro moved to Chelsea at the end of the transfer window, it seemed like a move that made sense for all parties.
Barcelona, the club at which he’d spent many years, could not guarantee him a start in their star-studded team. Pedro wanted more football and would be moving to the English champions. Chelsea were getting a Spanish international that had won the lot (and were also pinching him from under the noses of Manchester United).
Although his debut against West Brom was full of promise as he appeared to slot in seamlessly, since then Pedro has been relatively anonymous in a Chelsea team that has suffered a nightmarish start to the season.
Now, according to reports from Spain, Pedro has told friends that he regrets his move to Stamford Bridge and would happily return to Barelona – even if it meant returning to the bench.
The report in Fichajes states that the World Cup winner has confided in Cesc Fabregas that he wishes he’d not made the move.
Would it have been different if he’d joined Manchester United?
