People are looking around the Emirates and saying the same thing about Arsenal fans

It comes after a pitch invasion at West Ham yesterday. Even Gary Neville has had his say.

It’s no secret that trouble is afoot at Arsenal. Although they remain in the Europa League, meaning they still have a chance of playing Champions League football next year, they’re currently in sixth place in the league and unlikely to get a top four spot.

#WengerOut has been a meme for years now, but there seems to be a growing disconnect between Wenger and the fans, which is getting harder and harder for anybody to ignore.

There’s no better illustration of this than in today’s attendance at the Emirates – with coverage and pictures at the ground showing  the stadium at a lot less than full capacity.

It comes after West Ham had protests against the club’s bosses yesterday, with many supporters leaving their seats and gathering around the directors’ box to protest against the club’s owners. Whilst other invaded the pitch.

But although there were none of those scenes today, people on Twitter have been saying that Arsenal fans were staging their own protest, simply by not showing up.
