We surely won’t have to wait too long for Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte to meet again after Whyte’s split-decision victory in Manchester.
After a heated pre-fight press conference – with a notorious table-throwing incident – some had feared the fight might not go ahead.
But go ahead it did, and once the pair entered the ring it was all business.
Whyte and Chisora were matched brilliantly, in what some have called the best heavyweight fight they’ve seen in years, if not ever.

Everyone's hyping about AJ. He beat a average boxer… Big deal! Chizora vs Whyte was the best heavyweight fight I've seen in a long time!

Whyte was awarded the victory by split decision after 12 hard-fought rounds, meaning his December 2015 loss to Anthony Joshua remains the only setback of his professional career.
But some weren’t convinced that the Jamaican-born Brit had done quite enough to get the better of ‘Del Boy’.

I would have been happy with a draw neither fighter deserved to lose.

So, will we get to see the pair face off again? We get the sense it won’t quite be as entertaining as this, but then how could it be?

Shocked to admit I want to see a rematch. Maybe even a monthly thing.

Whyte’s victory saw him walk away with the WBC international heavyweight belt and left Chisora with two defeats from his last three outings.
His next opponent remains up in the air, but if a rematch isn’t on the horizon then Luis Ortiz could be next up.
The Cuban remained unbeaten with a seventh-round stoppage of British fighter David Allen on the same Manchester card, extending his career record to 27-0 with 23 knockouts and two no-contests.
