Admittedly, that’s quite a headline
Petr Cech wears a helmet. You may have noticed.
Having fractured his skull while in action for Chelsea at Reading 12 years ago, the goalkeeper has played every game since in the protective headwear.
Given that he’s never seen without it on a football field, the makers of FIFA 19 – known for their attention to detail – were always going to make sure he was wearing it on the new game. Sure enough, they have… only it seems there’s been a bit of an oversight.
A tweet which has since gone viral has revealed that the Arsenal goalkeeper continues to wear his helmet in the Career Mode feature of the game – including when negotiating a new contract alongside an elderly Alan Pardew.
Real-life Cech appears to have seen the funny side to this. Posting the same image to his Twitter, Cech explains that the image is indeed wrong, jokingly suggesting that he would always have worn a tie during discussions over a new contract.
It’s wrong guys … I’d wear a tie 👔😂😂 pic.twitter.com/0qGSK3TvHg
