It might have been originally meant as a tribute to the Manchester United way, but Adidas’ latest Red Devils t-shirt looks like it’s poking fun at the way things have gone under Louis van Gaal.
The sportswear company, which has a multi-million pound deal to manufacture United’s matchday kits, has rolled out a ‘Duty to Entertain’ t-shirt which just looks cruelly ironic.
The Sun discovered the garment in United’s club shop, where they claim it has only recently been introduced…with the Red Devils in the midst of their most goal-shy season in the Premier League era.

United sit fifth in the Premier League following a disappointing weekend defeat at Sunderland, and an injury to Wayne Rooney leaves the club without a fit striker over the age of 23.
Van Gaal’s team have scored more than two goals in a game on just four occasions since the start of October, while their record of 33 goals in 26 league games is lust one more than their last opponents, who sit 19th.
“I can’t believe we are stocking it, it surely is something which should have come out at the the start of the season, rather than after such bad results,” a source told the newspaper.
However it has emerged that, rather than only recently arriving in the club shop, the shirt has been around for a while longer than that.
Perhaps it’s just coincidence, eh?
