Danijel Subašić really got away with one tonight.
The Group D game between Spain and Croatia was level mid way through the second half when the European champions were awarded something of a soft penalty when the referee deemed Šime Vrsaljko to have pushed David Silva.
Sergio Ramos stepped up, but his spot kick was saved, and it’s easy to see why.
Subašić was at least three yards off his line.

It would prove to be a hugely significant moment in the match, and possibly the tournament, as Croatia would go on to win the game 2-1.
Ivan Perišić got the winner in the final minutes, consigning Spain to a last-16 game against Italy, and making sure Croatia top the group.
