Well, this escalated quickly.
Police in Boston have revealed that a man arrested outside an NHL game on New Year’s Day was carrying an assortment of bizarre weapons that would not have looked out of place in an Anchorman dust-up.
Foxborough Police Department released a photo of the weapons, which were seized from a man in the parking lot at Gillette Stadium – the home of the NFL’s New England Patriots – which was hosting the NHL’s annual Winter Classic between the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens.
The weapons included a sword, crossbow, stun gun, katana and a rusty meat cleaver. The man in question, 48-year-old Matthew Bromson, is now facing multiple weapons charges.
