Nearly every tweet is greeted by throngs of fans asking them to ‘Announce Bale’ or ‘Sack Van Gaal’. Still, sometimes you can leave yourself open for the obvious gag.

Now it’s all well and good that Messers Schneiderlin and Smalling are eagerly raising their hands in imaginary appreciation of the new kit, but it makes it seem as though the third wheel is less than impressed.
