Ah to be a fly on the wall of Arsenal Fan TV studios right now.
After the lengthiest and most aggressive ‘Wenger Out’ campaign of all time, Arsenal’s board seems to have ignored supporters’ requests to part ways with the longest-serving manager in the Premier League.
All signs are pointing to a new two-year contract for Arsene Wenger, despite the fact that he failed to guide his side to a top-four finish for the first time in 21 years.
The Gunners finished in fifth position in the Premier League but an FA Cup triumph at the weekend has been rewarded with a contract extension for the Frenchman, according to the BBC.
A meeting with owner Stan Kroenke on Monday went well and a verbal agreement was made that Wenger would continue on as Arsenal boss, with an official announcement expected on Wednesday.
One of the loudest voices in the most recent campaign to force Wenger out of the club belongs to die-hard fan Piers Morgan, who slammed the reported contract extension as “scandalous” after reading about it online.
If true, a scandalous reward for 13yrs of Premier League & 20yrs of Champions League failure. https://t.co/ZgumgexRJf

Various members of Arsenal Fan TV, who received newfound mainstream media attention via an appearance on the BBC at the weekend, also didn’t hesitate to voice their concerns over the news.

Wenger has proved what a selfish man he is, the board have proved how spineless they are, name me another club that rewards failure?
