Zlatan Ibrahimovic has 500 career goals
Despite his LA Galaxy side losing 5-3 to Toronto in the small hours of Sunday morning, Ibrahimovic reached the milestone in spectacular fashion, firing home with a roundhouse kick volley.
In the time since, Zlatan has taken time to thank the clubs he has scored his goals for (and the Swedish national side).

The 36-year-old has also received plenty of congratulatory messages from around the world of football, one of the latest coming courtesy of his former Manchester United teammate, Paul Pogba.
Wearing a LA Galaxy shirt, Pogba posted a video to his Instagram Story to mark Ibrahimovic’s achievement. Beginning by poking fun at the striker’s tendency to liken himself to various animals, the midfielder pays homage to Ibra’s 500th goal.
“I tell you to play football and you watch too much Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee,” Pogba says, a reference to the kung-fu-like technique Ibrahimovic showed in scoring the goal.

Pogba returned to United from Juventus weeks after Ibrahimovic had signed for the club on a free after leaving Paris Saint-Germain in 2016. While Pogba remains, Ibrahimovic left for Major League Soccer towards the end of last season. His playing time at United had been limited after recovering from a serious knee injury picked up towards the end of his first (and only) full season in Manchester.
Ibrahimovic marked his first game for the Galaxy with a spectacular 40-yard volley and newly former LAFC. With the game level at 3-3 in stoppage time, he also headed home a late winner for his new club.
