Diego Maradona has tragically passed away at the age of 60 from a cardiac arrest.
The Argentine was an footballing icon who brought joy to fans around the world with his flamboyant style of play and infectious charisma.
Though Maradona never played football in England, famously saying he would never come here to play because he’d rather train in the afternoon, Premier League clubs have paid tribute to the great after his passing.
Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted: “A genius of his art. A master of our game. One of the all-time greats. Rest in peace, Diego Maradona.”
