Goalkeeper on loan from PSG saves two penalties to knock them out of French Cup

His celebration was a great example of shithousery

Paris Saint-Germain were knocked out of the Coupe de France by their on-loan goalkeeper Marcin Bulka as the shot-stopper saved two penalties in the shootout.

The two Ligue 1 sides played out a 0-0 draw in 120 minutes, with the game at the Parc des Princes going all the way to penalties, where Nice won the tie won 6-5 and progressed to the quarter-finals.

Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe both converted their spot-kicks, but Bulka – who joined Nice on loan in the summer – denied both Leandro Paredes and Xavi Simons to secure a famous victory for Christophe Galtier’s side.

Despite being on loan from the Parisians, Bulka did not hold back with his celebrations after saving the crucial penalty – sprinting off with joy and quickly being surrounded by his teammates after knocking his parent club out of the competition.

The goalkeeper produced a slick knee-slide and footage of him in the dressing room showed him continuing to celebrate the victory, with absolutely no room for sentiment.

Bulka was part of Chelsea’s academy set-up in the early stages of his career and won the FA Youth Cup in back-to-back campaigns.

When his contract expired at Stamford Bridge, the Polish shot-stopper signed for PSG in July 2019. However, he has made just two appearances for the French giants and spent time on loan at Cartagena and Chateauroux.

The ‘keeper – who was forced to vacate the number 3o when Messi arrived at the Parc des Princes in the summer – signed for Nice in August, and it is thought that the Eaglets have an option to buy the player.
