United manager Louis van Gaal refused to rule out Di Maria’s departure, after the player struggled in his first season at Old Trafford, and his place could be under threat from summer signing Memphis Depay.
Depay opened his account for the English club in a pre-season friendly against MLS team San Jose Earthquakes, and already seems to have formed a close bond with team-mate Luke Shaw.
