If you stuck a quid or two on an accumulator this weekend, the chances are it didn’t come in.
If it *did*, well done, but you probably didn’t get 12 grand from it.
That’s exactly what happened to one unnamed punter from Bolton, who managed to turn a stake of just £2.20 into a whopping £12,000 this weekend.
According to The Mirror, the staggering twenty-leg accumulator (yes, *twenty-leg*) was placed with Ladbrokes and featured bets from across Europe – including Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over West Ham and Barcelona’s slender 1-0 win away at Atheltic Bilbao – as well as the US and Argentina, with odds ranging from 1/33 to 10/11.
With nineteen matches already going his way, the punter will have faced a nerve-shredding wait for the final leg of his accumulator to come in, with Portugal’s Rio Ave only scoring their match-winning goal against Feirense during injury time on Sunday night.
