There were a couple of notable absentees
The last time Chelsea reached the Champions League final, the man who managed them for the first half of this season was still scoring the majority of their goals. It’s been nine years, but the Blues have finally fought their way back to within 90 minutes of European glory.
Thankfully for Thomas Tuchel, he won’t be without any of his most important players tonight. Roberto Di Matteo wasn’t so fortunate in 2012, after a yellow and a red card in the semi-finals against Barcelona ruled out two of his strongest leaders.
You’ll note I haven’t mentioned their names, that’s because I want the following quiz to be as difficult as possible.
