Manchester United fans have always regarded Rafael as one of their favourites, and now it’s easy to see why.
The Brazilian full-back is leaving the club after eight success-filled years, and he took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the Old Trafford faithful.
He also had words of praise for the club staff, and of course for Sir Alex Ferguson, who have him and twin brother Fabio their debuts.

Judging from some of the comments from fans on Twitter, the 25-year-old will be sorely missed.
Rafael only made 11 appearances in his final season, but remains as popular as ever.

Refuse to support a football club that doesn't employ Rafael. Hope we lose every game this season.
