Raheem Sterling 50-50 for Liverpool tour as City make £45m bid

Fight or flight?

Raheem Sterling was named in Liverpool’s 30-man squad to fly out for the club’s pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.

But that was yesterday – and a lot can happen in 24 hours in football.

Now Manchester City have reportedly make an improved offer of £45m for the 20-year-old star.

Liverpool are known to be digging their heels in for a £50m sum for the England attacker.

But the Daily Mail report that now Sterling, who missed the start of training at Liverpool through, is 50-50 about joining the club on tour.

This is the third bid from City boss Manuel Pellegrini for the wantaway forward in the summer’s longest running transfer saga.

Could we be finally reaching the denouement?
