Nacho Novo has explained what happened with a group of Celtic supporters over the weekend.
Novo arrived at Belfast International Airport on Saturday evening and was greeted by some heckling Celtic fans.
The Rangers legend was able to laugh off the early exchanges with the group, despite the horrific nature of the chant that was directed at him inside the airport.
The first clip that was circulated on social media shows a fan filming himself singing: “I hope you die in your sleep Nacho Novo!” right in front of the 39-year-old.

Novo didn’t rise to the abuse initially as he posed for pictures with some fans but the mood turned sour outside the terminal as the former Gers forward confronted the supporter to accuse him of disrespecting him.
The exchange got quite heated and Novo, who made 255 appearances for Rangers between 2004 and 2010, explained what happened in a Twitter post later that night.
Arrived at Belfast international airport tonight to support the local community for all sides of the divide, as soon as I walked out of the airport I was surrounded by over Celtic supporters that hurled abuse and tried to attack myself I would like thank genuine Celtic supporter
