Reigning PFA player of the year, Eden Hazard, could be the subject of a big money bid from Real Madrid in the near future.
A report in The Sunday Times claims that Florentino Perez sees the Belgian as the ideal fit to become the Spanish club’s next galactico signing.
With a reputation for breaking a few transfer records in his time, it’s thought the Real Madrid president wouldn’t think twice about stumping up a huge fee to bring Hazard to the Bernabeu.
With the added option of selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Paris Saint-Germain also available to them, Real could be even more cash-laden than usual by the time summer arrives.
Of course, Chelsea won’t be in any rush to part company with Hazard. He recently signed a new deal to remain at Stamford Bridge and a large offer from Spain is unlikely to tempt the London club to sell.
Perez, however, is unlikely to be deterred.
