Reports emerged on Sunday night that Manchester United had agreed a deal to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Manchester Evening News reported that the 25-year-old France international had already completed a successful medical earlier in the day.
Added to the capture of Bastian Schweinsteiger, the reported purchase signals a complete overall of the Manchester United midfield.

Earlier in the week, Dutch paper De Telegraaf reported that Louis van Gaal wanted at least three deals completed before his side flew out to the US for a pre-season tour.
It looks as though Ed Woodward has moved quickly and decisively in granting the Dutchman his wish.
