Arsenal fans, look away now.
Francis Coquelin has been a key part of Arsenal’s success since breaking through to the first team less than 12 months ago – but it seems that the Gunners may have to do without their combative midfielder for three months after he left the Hawthorns on crutches on Saturday.
It is believed that the Frenchman has done damage to his knee ligaments, which could potentially keep him out of action until March. According to Bruno Constant of L’Équipe, the 24-year-old will miss three months “without a doubt”.

Coquelin has already been ruled out of Tuesday’s must-win Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb, while Mikel Arteta has also been ruled out after he was injured after coming on to replace Coquelin in Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to West Brom.
The duo join a long list of Arsenal injuries, which includes the likes of Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott.
