Wonder if he would say the same about his other United manager…
Romelu Lukaku has heaped praise on his former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, saying he is “doing great” as Manchester United manager.
Lukaku left United in the summer of 2019, having only worked with Solskjaer for six months. Many view his time at Old Trafford as a failure, despite the 42 goals he scored for the club under two different managers. Others also resent Solskjaer for letting him go, after seeing him explode into form at Inter Milan.
But there is no bad blood between the pair, as Lukaku confirmed in a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday. Opening up the floor to his followers to ask him anything, one follower asked what he made of the job Solskjaer is currently doing with United, as they trail Man City by 10 points in second place.
“He is doing great,” Lukaku replied.
“You guys have to know I love him as a manager and as a person and I wish him nothing but the best,” he added, clarifying any rumours of animosity between the pair.

The Belgian also responded to another question, saying he has nothing but love for Chelsea.
Playing for the Blues in the Premier League was a lifelong dream of Lukaku’s, and while game time was hard to come by as a youngster there, he is grateful for them bringing him to the Premier League where he was able to develop on loan spells at West Brom and Everton.
“Nothing but love. They gave me an opportunity to come to the Premier League as a kid. You can’t have everything in life and I’m cool with that. I’m glad that experience got me to where I am today,” he said.

He also revealed that right now, he considers Robert Lewandowski to be the best player in the world. With Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on the decline (well, relatively), it is hard to argue that Lewandowski would have deserved the Ballon d’Or last year, had the ceremony not been cancelled.
And his followers were largely receptive to the idea of the Bayern Munich star being the best around, with many replying saying Lukaku “knows ball.”
