‘Physically I am fine. But I’m not happy with the situation at Chelsea.’
Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he is unhappy with Thomas Tuchel’s system at Chelsea and stated that he ‘hopes’ to return to Inter Milan while he’s ‘still at the top level’.
The Belgium striker has made 18 appearances so far this season, registering seven goals and two assists, but he has missed nine matches through injury.
The 28-year-old – who returned to Stamford Bridge from Inter Milan in the summer for €115million – marked his comeback from injury with a crucial winner against Aston Villa last week, also winning his side a late penalty which Jorginho converted.
However, the former Manchester United forward has since admitted that he is unhappy with the current system the Blues are using, but insisted that he ‘would not give up’ on the situation.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italy, as per Fabrizio Romano, Lukaku said: “Physically I am fine. But I’m not happy with the situation at Chelsea. Tuchel has chosen to play with another system – I won’t give up, I’ll be professional. I am not happy with the situation but I am professional – and I can’t give up now.

The forward, who is Belgium’s all-time leading goalscorer, also spoke about the way he left Inter and said that he knows he will return to the club at some point.
“I think everything that happened last summer was not supposed to happen like this… how I left Inter, the way I left the club, how I communicated with Inter fans – this bothers me because it was not the right time,” he added.
“Now it’s the right time to share my feelings. I have always said that I have Inter in my heart: I know I will return to Inter, I really hope so. I am in love with Italy, this is right moment to talk and let people know what really happened”.
“I really hope from bottom of my heart to return to Inter not at the end of my career, but when I’m still at top level to win more together”.
“I want apologize to the Inter fan, timing of my words was wrong: what you did for me will remain forever”.
According to Matt Law, the interview with Lukaku occurred three weeks ago.
Told the Lukaku interview took place around 3 weeks ago. That does not make what he said irrelevant but it does place important context on his frustration then v probably not so much frustration now #cfc

Chelsea have typically opted for a 3-4-2-1 formation this season, with Lukaku – when on the pitch – often being used as a target man, rather than running in behind.
While it is unclear what specifically the Belgium frontman is unhappy with, it is evident than he is not pleased with the Blues’ style of play at the moment.
