Wayne Rooney’s time at Old Trafford may soon be up.
After more than a decade with Manchester United, and a ridiculous number of goals for club and country, the England ‘captain’ has lost his place in the first team and may be keen to move in search of first-team football.
We’ve already gone over some possible destinations for the 31-year-old, and one of those could soon become a reality.
That’s because Everton manager Ronald Koeman seems keen to bring the player back to Everton, where he started his career back in the early 2000s.

“Of course, if there is a possibility that Rooney is an option for Everton, I’m very pleased,” the Dutchman said in a press conference ahead of Everton’s Premier League meeting with West Ham United on Sunday.
“He’s a great player, he’s still not finished his career.”
Rooney made his professional debut for Everton as a 16-year-old at the start of the 2002/03 season, with his first top-flight goal – the winner against Arsenal at Goodison Park – coming just days before his 17th birthday.
He played more than 70 games for the club before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2004, going on to score more than 200 goals for the 20-time English champions.
He has also been linked with a move to Major League Soccer, with LA Galaxy potentially looking for a replacement for Steven Gerrard, while the Chinese Super League has also been mentioned as a potential destination.
