He DID NOT look happy
Cristiano Ronaldo’s face painted a picture of frustration and anger as he stormed down the tunnel alone following Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Everton this (Saturday) afternoon.
The 36-year-old couldn’t help his side find a winner after they had initially taken the lead through Anthony Martial in the first-half, albeit with a rather heavy deflection, but were pegged back after a flowing Everton counter-attack was finished off by Andros Townsend.
Ronaldo, who was the hero for United in midweek against Villarreal was surprisingly not named in the starting XI by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He came on with the home side leading through Anthony Martial’s opener but wasn’t able to make an impact. At the end of the game, he made his disappointment clear.

Whilst the majority of his teammates stayed to thank the United support, Ronaldo instead chose to take a solitary walk back to the changing rooms on his own, with TV cameras appearing to show him muttering to himself as he went on his way.
BT Sport pundit Jermaine Jeans said that Ronaldo’s reaction was exactly the sort of winning mentality that Manchester United players need.
He said: “That reaction, he wants to win the league.
“He’s not here for anything else but to win a league title and he understands what it takes to win a league title.
“Those games like today are important and for him, he’s fuming and for any manager, that is a blessing. He’s got to manage it now, Ole, but he’s got one of the most notorious winners in the game and he is lucky to have him.”
The result puts the pressure back on Solskjaer who has now seen his side fall further away in the title and despite moving up to second in the Premier League table, aren’t expected to be there for too long, with other results still to come into play from this weekends fixtures.
