All is not well at Arsenal. You might have heard.
Once again, any hopes of winning their first league title since 2004 are dead in the water. Their Champions League campaign is also over for another season (possibly longer), after Bayern Munich beat them 5-1 in both legs of their last 16 clash.
Calls for Arsene Wenger to leave the club appear to be becoming more and more frequent, and on top of all this, there’s also the small matter of the club’s best player angling for a move.
According to reports, Sanchez stormed out of a training session last week – something which Theo Walcott all but confirmed after the home defeat to Bayern.
As part of ITV’s coverage of Barcelona’s incredible second leg comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, Roy Keane was also asked for his opinion on Arsenal’s recent woes. Talking specifically about Sanchez’s reported desire to leave the club, Keane offered a typically frank solution to the problem.
“If you’ve got players at your football club that don’t want to be there, get them out of the door,” he said.
“At least want good players that are 100 per cent behind the manager and the club.”
