Roy Keane clearly has a high opinion of himself, but we’re pretty sure even he wasn’t being serious in this comment about Cristiano Ronaldo.
Keane played with Ronaldo at Manchester United when the pair were at opposite ends of their careers, and when quizzed by journalists about the Portuguese forward he said: “I made him”.
“If it wasn’t for me, he wouldn’t be where he is,” added Keane, who was speaking ahead of Ireland’s Euro 2016 play-off against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He seemed to be joking, but when his face betrays so little emotion it’s tough to tell sometimes.
