Manager Daniel Farke resigned earlier this week
Russian Premier League club Krasnodar have agreed to suspended the contracts of all eight of their foreign players, just a day after manager Daniel Farke resigned from his position, as reported by the Mirror.
Krasnador – who were unable to play last weekend due to airport closures in southern Russia – are facing a player exodus, with their foreign contingent now training alone elsewhere.
While no official reason has been given for the decision to suspend the players’ contracts, it follows Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine – which began last Thursday (February 24).
The list of players includes former Newcastle United man Remy Cabella, who is reportedly already training with former side Montpellier in France.
Poland international Grzegorz Krychowiak – who previously played for Sevilla, Paris Saint-Germain and West Bromwich Albion – was also allowed to depart, despite having signed a lucrative three-year deal in August.
According to reports, the 32-year-old, who joined his Polish teammates in boycotting their upcoming World Cup play-off semi-final against Russia, was even willing to terminate his deal, but Krasnodar would not comply.
Jhon Cordoba, who cost £16.5million from FC Koln in 2021, has also seen his contract suspended, just six months into his four-year deal.
Daniel Farke and his staff have left Krasnodar by mutual consent having not been in charge for a single match due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It comes after the Bulls were hit with the resignation of ex-Norwich City boss Farke on Wednesday, who left as manager – despite having not yet taken charge of a match.
His entire coaching staff also agreed the mutual termination of their deals after just six weeks at the club.
“Krasnodar and Daniel Farke terminated the contract by mutual agreement,” read a club statement.
“Together with the German coach, his assistants Edmund Riemer, Chris Domogalla and Christopher John leave the club.”
Krasnodar are currently sat sixth in the Russian Premier League, four points outside the European places.
